OPEN KNIT-Join us as we gather to knit together! Technically not a “class” but someone will always be available to help you if you get in a jam. Coffee and tea will be available or feel free to bring your own. Price: FREE! Times: Every Friday morning from 10:30-12:30. BEGINNER KNITTING-For the brand new knitter or those getting started again. We will cover casting on, knitting, purling, decreasing, reading a simple pattern, knitting abbreviations, binding off and simple finishing. We will work on a scarf and hat in the class. Price: $60.00 not including materials. Times: Please choose one: Wednesday evenings February 24th, March 3rd, 10th and 17th, 6:30-8:30pm or Thursday mornings March 4th, 18th, 25th and April 1st 10:30-12:30 (please note we skip the week of March 11th because of the Yarn Crawl. BELLA'S MITTENS-Inspired by the Twilight series, these beautiful mittens were worn by the character Bella in the first Twilight movie. Warm, long, cabled mittens knitted with bulky weight yarn are sure to keep you warm in the last weeks of winter! SOCKS ON DOUBLE POINTED NEEDLES-We will be using Yankee Knitter’s wonderfully easy pattern to knit a pair of socks to keep your toes toasty this winter! This pattern allows you to choose a variety of different yarns from tiny sock yarn, to worsted weight. Price: $45.00 not including materials. Time: Saturday mornings, March 6th, 20th and 27th 10:30-12:30 Experience/prerequisites: Casting on, knitting, purling. TOP DOWN BABY CARDIGAN-Knit on a circular needle but not in the round, this baby cardigan is a snap to make and is and easy and fabulous baby gift! Baby and toddler sizes available. Price: $60.00 not including materials. Time: Wednesday evenings April 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th. 6:30-8:30pm Experience/prerequisites: Casting on, knitting, purling. CABLED HAT-Comfortable and easy to wear, once you make one you’re going to want another (or someone is going to want you to make them one!). Learn knitting in the round, cables and how to use double pointed needles. Price: $30.00 not including materials. Time: Please choose one: Wednesday mornings February 24th and March 3rd 10:30-12:30 or Monday evenings March 8th and 15th 6:30-8:30 Experience/prerequisites: Casting on, knitting, purling. FINGERLESS GLOVES-Keep your hands warm while keeping your fingers free for important things like knitting! You can make these on double points or straight needles. Price : $30.00 not including materials. Time: Tuesday mornings March 23rd and April 6th 10:30-12:30 Experience/prerequisites: Casting on, knitting, purling. Week 2: Magic Loop. March 7th (by far our most popular techniques class last session!) Week 3: Baby Booties. March 21st Week 4: Finishing. April 18th Price: $25.00 per class. Sign up for 3 or more and save $5.00 per class. LADIES NIGHT OUT AT THE YARN SHOP-Exclusive use of the shop, closed to the public. Use the time to browse and shop for yarn, ask questions, have a knitting class or just hang out and knit with your friends! Bring wine and snacks if you wish, coffee and tea will be provided. Payment is due upon registration and is non-refundable unless class is cancelled due to lack of enrollment. Refunds are not made for missed classes so please check your schedule carefully before signing up for a class. A note on materials… All fees for classes do not include materials (unless indicated). Generally, yarn, needles, a pattern or a book may be required for your class. Please ask for a materials list for any class you sign up for.
BEADED HAT-The pattern in this hat is beautiful all on it's own, but add beads and it's spectacular! Adding beads to your knitting is a great and easy way to spice up an otherwise simple pattern. We like to use self striping yarn but solids look great as well. Circular and double pointed needles will be used.

INTERMEDIATE BEGINNER-A great next step after the beginner class. We will make the Roll Raglan sweater from Yankee Knitter. Get more experience with knitting and purling, increasing and decreasing, pattern reading and basic finishing. Please note that we will be making a child’s sized sweater in the class. Past experience has shown that it is really hard to finish an adult sized sweater in 4 weeks. You will learn all the techniques necessary in the class and can apply it to a larger sweater later on if you wish.

SAMPLER SCARF-A great way to learn new stitches and get experience reading different patterns.

Week 1: Fix It! February 28th
KIDS DROP IN-Every Wednesday at the store. Drop in for a couple of hours of knitting! Learn to knit, improve your knitting, relax and have fun! No reservation required. $5.00 per class. Materials not included. Please note that Kids Drop In is geared for kids aged 8 and up. For children under 8 who want to learn how to knit, please ask about a private lesson. Please ask for details.
