BELLA'S MITTENS-Inspired by the Twilight series, these beautiful mittens were worn by the character Bella in the first Twilight movie. Warm, long, cabled mittens knitted with bulky weight yarn are sure to keep you warm in the last weeks of winter! SOCKS ON DOUBLE POINTED NEEDLES-We will be using Yankee Knitter’s wonderfully easy pattern to knit a pair of socks to keep your toes toasty this winter! This pattern allows you to choose a variety of different yarns from tiny sock yarn, to worsted weight. Price: $45.00 not including materials. Time: Saturday mornings Experience/prerequisites: Casting on, knitting, purling. TOP DOWN SUMMER CARDIGAN-Knit on a circular needle but not in the round, this cute summer cardigan is a snap to make and no sewing is necessary to finish it! Price: $60.00 not including materials. Time: Wednesday evenings 6:30-8:30pm Date coming soon. Experience/prerequisites: Casting on, knitting, purling. CABLED HAT-Comfortable and easy to wear, once you make one you’re going to want another (or someone is going to want you to make them one!). Learn knitting in the round, cables and how to use double pointed needles. Price: $30.00 not including materials. Time: TBA LADIES NIGHT OUT AT THE YARN SHOP-Exclusive use of the shop, closed to the public. Use the time to browse and shop for yarn, ask questions, have a knitting class or just hang out and knit with your friends! Bring wine and snacks if you wish, coffee and tea will be provided. Up to 8 people. Please call for pricing and availability. PRIVATE LESSONS-By appointment only. $20.00 per hour. Payment is due upon registration and is non-refundable unless class is cancelled due to lack of enrollment. Refunds are not made for missed classes so please check your schedule carefully before signing up for a class. A note on materials… All fees for classes do not include materials (unless indicated). Generally, yarn, needles, a pattern or a book may be required for your class. Please ask for a materials list for any class you sign up for.
KID's KNITTING CAMP-Learn to knit this summer! Open to kids age 8 and up. Sessions are Monday through Friday 9am-12pm. $195.00 per week includes all knitting materials, a daily snack and a small knitting bag for your project! Camp is held at A Yarn Over Marblehead, 231 Washington Street, Marblehead.
Session 1: June 28th thru July 2nd
Session 2: July 26th thru July 30th
Session 3: August 9th thru August 13th
A $50.00 deposit is due at registration. The balance is due on the first day of camp. Cash, check, Mastercard and Visa are accepted.
BEGINNER KNITTING-For the brand new knitter or those getting started again. We will cover casting on, knitting, purling, decreasing, reading a simple pattern, knitting abbreviations, binding off and simple finishing. We will work on a scarf and hat in the class.
FARMERS MARKET BAG-My favorite new summer project! A perfect bag for picking up produce, bread or flowers at the farmer's market this summer! A quick and easy project, one skein of cotton yarn makes this a great gift too!

INTERMEDIATE BEGINNER-A great next step after the beginner class. We will make the Roll Raglan sweater from Yankee Knitter. Get more experience with knitting and purling, increasing and decreasing, pattern reading and basic finishing. Please note that we will be making a child’s sized sweater in the class. Past experience has shown that it is really hard to finish an adult sized sweater in 4 weeks. You will learn all the techniques necessary in the class and can apply it to a larger sweater later on if you wish.

KIDS DROP IN-Every Wednesday at the store during the school year. Drop in for a couple of hours of knitting! Learn to knit, improve your knitting, relax and have fun! No reservation required. $5.00 per class. Materials not included. Please note that Kids Drop In is geared for kids aged 8 and up. For children under 8 who want to learn how to knit, please ask about a private lesson. Please ask for details.
